The story of a long tunnel

The story of a long tunnel

When we were in level four lock down we decided to go on a bike ride to the golf course, which they have opened. Next to it is a very long tunnel - to be more accurate 2 kilometers.

We decided to go in the tunnel Mum and Hali quit after the second corner but me and Dad kept going, For a while it was just the same sort of thing but then we came up to a vent in the ceiling which we thought was the exit when we were coming up to it but that wasn't very interesting so then we kept going and we saw another light and we thought that was the exit because it was bigger but what it really was, was a big vent

And a ladder came down from next to it. After that we only went a bit further and then we went all the way back out to the same entrance that we can from. Where's the end? we do not know but we can say it's a long tunnel.

  1. What an adventure Zac, you and your Dad are very brave, great to see the photos too. I wonder why the tunnel is there?

  2. Great exploring Zac! I must say, the tunnel looks a bit dark and scary - I'm not sure if I would be brave enough to go in.

  3. Hi Zac, I love that you and your dad went exploring through the tunnel. Where were these tunnels? They look as though they have been there a while as there is plenty of peoples art on the walls and floor.
When I have been into long tunnels, the first thing I notice is how cold they can be. Did you notice the temperature drop the further you got into them?

  4. I enjoyed reading your story about the tunnel adventure, Zac. You were much braver than me! One day it would be good to go back and I might try going further in next time, now that I've seen the pictures of inside. Do you think we might be able to go all the way to the other end? I'd only want to do that if it hadn't been raining though!

  5. I like your story Zac. I especially like the way you finish with a question. It makes me curious!
