Motivation:	Paragraph:
Day 1: The magical umbrella It was then that she heard it… Whispers  for behind the door!	It was an eerie night, the spirits were waking up at the house of the dead.  The house and shattered windows and doors falling off hinges when you get closer the whispering breaks the eerie silence of the night. If you dare to step inside then you will find busted furniture and smashed glass everywhere. Out of the destruction there was one item left undamaged, a bright blue umbrella. The umbrella was dusty from bottom to top and was the only item in the house that was usable.
Day 2: The haunted house Water began to puddle at her feet.	A little girl with black pants and a blue shirt was wandering through the woods at midday when she found the house. She was intrigued and walked in to find that the house was in ruins except for one dusty umbrella leaning on the wall. She picked it up and opened it to find that there was another world in that umbrella. As she was staring into the umbrella it started to rain through it. Water began to puddle at her feet and fill up the house, fast!
Day 3: Underwater city The water was rising. Soon, everything would be underwater.	She tried to close it but water was coming out too fast and was pushing back open. She needed to get out of the house. She swam to the door and pushed it open but when the door swung open. She flew out on a wave of water, the umbrella was now sending out waves of water at a time. The water was rising. Soon, everything would be underwater. She ran to the beach and the sea was rising. She didn’t know what to do. Suddenly she had an idea, to climb a mountain so she could escape the water. As she was climbing she saw the water chasing her. When she was at the top she was at the wate but the water did not stop, it was metres away coming closer and closer it was at her feet then her waist it was coming over her head her last thought was “is this the end of humanity?” and indeed it was.

 This week I have been writting about three photos and I had to add certain sentence into each one:

Zipline

 I wanted to make a zipline in my backyard. First I tried with rope but it was too saggy and you just hit the ground, so we bought some wire. That was better, but then the pully I was using wouldn't work because thewire was too slippery so the wheel coudn't turn. So Dad and I made a wooden box with ball bearings that wenton the wire and that worked. Well, the first version broke when mum went down he zipline so we had to make another one with stronger wood. It was really satisfying when it finally worked because of how long it took tosolve all the problems.

Dukit animals

I've been making these animals during lockdown. I used Dukit which is polymer clay. It's like plasticine but you cook it and it goes hard, Hope you enjoy!

Scrolls

 Hi my name Zac and today I made some scrolls for the lockdown , this is how I made them:

First I made the dough by mixing yeast, flour, suger, milk powder, salt, oil and water in a bread mixer, then turned it on. After an hour and a half it was done but it was a bit big, after geting all of the dough out I made it into long rectangle shapes. I coved it in tomato paste and put salami olives and cheese on it making it kind of like a pizza. Next I rolled it up into a long sausage looking thing. Then I cut it up into small wheels and placed them on a tray and put the in an oven for 15 mins after a quick table tennis break they where done, ready to be enjoyed.

The power of YET!

Hi my name is Zac and tody we were learning about the power of yet. The power yet means insted of say "I will be able to ski" you say "I can't ski YET" this is the same thing as having a groth mind set.

I play table tennis but I can't do forehand YET so I can get better at forehand by practicing every day so I better or I can get sameone who knows how use forehand and get them to teach me how to do forehand.

Term 2

 Hi my name is Zac and I am going to be reflecting on my term 2!

Orl languge

The first thing that I want to talk about is orl languge which we have been learning about Wairaka. Wairaka is a very strong woman who rowed mataataa back to shore alone. We have also been learning about how to do good story telling and been recording us retell the story.

Tool kits

The event that I am going to talk about tool kit. I was presenting my slide about piskel. This was not my first time presenting becouse I had presented last year and did such a good job (with Isaac and Felix) that we got to presented twice on the some day! It was really fun presenting to kids from other schools and teaching them how to use piskel.

Overall this was a very fun term with so many thing that I couldend talk about like the production or graden to tablebut still a great term! Blog you later!

Empathy

It is inportant to show empathy to people because insted of just saying that some onr else is wrondg you understand there pont of view and maybe it will change yours.

In our leson we learned about 3 characters Patrick, Jason and Phyllis. The story was patrick was that he was getting bullyed by his friend and he didn't want to tell on him becuse he was scared that he would lose his friend and he needs his friends because he isn't very smart.

If you are in an argument then iy is inportet to remeber the other pont of view and why they think the way that they do.

Where do your parents come from? 

WORKshops

 Hi my anme is Zac and this morning a bunch of classes went to some workshop set by some construction workshops. The first one we had to put some stars tht had diffrant things on them like signage and we had to p=ut them places on the work site that they had a picture of.

 Next we went to a game where you put little cards in order of how to build a house, my team lost. The third thing was a game where made pipe for sludge to go through and if you lasted long enaf then you moved on to the next level.

 Then we moved outside and to honk the horn of a digger and it was very loud! Then we got to see a truck and even dot to inside! The truck could spray water and suck up thing, it eve had a rc car attached with a camera.

 last we become architectures and desinded a town, it had things like lots of houses and some shops but most of all it had alot of KFC

Reading

Hi my name is Zac and in Reading room 8 has been reading about earthquakes. We have read about the earthquake in Christchurch and the one in Samoa in the books Canterbury quake and The hungry wave. They had similar death the one in Chistchurch had 185 and the one in Samoa had 175 deahs. In both storys the main character wasa kid who was affected by the earthquake and there town was destroyed. Hi my name is Zac and today was toolkits! Toolkits is where students from lots of diffrant schools go to one scool and show each other websites using google sides. 

Session one

Session two

Session two was incredibox and I made a cool tune . It was very fun even thouth that was not the first time I have used incredibox I still enjoyed it.

Session three

In Session three I was presenting agein but this time I was in room 25 insted of room 10. And this time Mr Greenfeld was there and he has made some very good piskels, so we looked at the ones that he had made.

Old writing

 Hi my name is Zac and this week Mr Moore wanted us to write about the oldest person that we know, so I made one on my great greandma. Enjoy!

Great Grandma

Traveling to Napier to see my great grandma, walking to the retirement home

from our rented house to the place of retirement. Walking into the

little spot where she lives.

The moment that we enter, she starts talking about other visitors, talking

about cats, talking about anything! No matter what, she is always talking.

Most of the time, she is talking about her garden. She has a garden outside

of her tiny house. Her garden is very pretty and you can see the care put into

it, it looks like somebody turned a rainbow into a garden.

She has white hair in an afro style, all curly and wavy. She has wrinkled skin

and is not the tallest. She always has a smile on her face. And makes sure

that you enjoy your time with her.

Talking is fun but hard when the otherperson can not hear very well, you can’t really talk to somebody that can notunderstand what you say half of the time, so sometimes you have to repeat

yourself when talking to her.

Overall my great grandma loves to talk and talk and talk, she can talk about anything, she loves her garden and she will make sure that her garden is top notch so that it is the best in the city and she is a bit hard to talk to because she can not hear very well.

Rona and the moon

 HI my name is Zac and my class has been reading a story called Rona and the moon. It is about Rona going to get same water but she trips and sceams it the moon, the moon is hurt so he pick's up Rona and puts her on the moon. I think that Rona not the protagonist because in the story she is very rude and angry at evrything except her oun kids. The moon had just decided that he had enough so her put Rona on the moon.

Anzac day

 Hi my name is Zac and my teather (Mr Moore) wants us to talk about Anzac day and way it is so inportent that we celebrate Anzac day. I think that it is inportent because if they didn't go to war then we would not have the life that we get to have. Lots of familys lost there laved ones because they were forsed to go to war and then they died. So the answer is yes we should celerbrate Anzac day on the 25 April for all of our fallin Soldiers. Easter

Hi it's Zac hare and I am here to talk what I did on Easter weekend. I went camping on Easter weekend for one night, this was not my frist time campingI have done it quite alot. When I was there I went to the beach and did a very long walk it was great. Back at the campsite there was a stream and it was very fun to jump from rock to rock. I think camping is fun and you should do it if you get the chance.

PS. I do not remeber where I went camping.

Little kids make big difference

Hi it's Zac here and Mr Moore wanted us to wach this clip and answer a question the question is How did young people manage to stand strong, and  make a positive impact on our marine life?

My answer is: They messaged the Prine Minster with letters and asked her to protect the Māui dolphin and she responded. She said that she like reading kids letters more then reading aduts letters, she started helping the the dolphens by... She made a gaint drone to trake where the Māui dolphin at all times meaning that they could proteced the areas that lots Māui dolphin are (there are only 63 left!)In the end the kids started the whoe thing so they were responsible for the mawi dolphens being saved.

Standing Strong

Hi it's Zac and I am going to talk about something that Mr Moore has challenged us to focus on, standing strong, we had to make a peace of writing with the question:

How do everyday people locally, nationally and globally, overcome obstacles and stand strong in their lives? 

People nationally like Liam Malone get over things like there fears, disabilities and phobias by standing strong and keeping on trying. People are homeless and they keep trying to look at the bright side. Countries are in war and they are standing strong try to survive for there country. People globally like the Kaka family are not fighting in the wars but they are in the country and it is dangerous to get some milk like your dad they don’t came back. You being in New Zealand, being local have it better then a lot of people and you should be grateful.

Pro's and Cons of lockdown

 Hi it's Zac here and I am here to talk about the pro's and con's of lockdown, the world is in a lockdown so I'm going to talk about it. 

Pro"s: 

• more time with family, 
• YOU chose when to work, 
• you get to wake up later, 
• not as much work
• and it means there containing coved 19. 

Con's:

• more time with family,
• can't leave the house to get away from them, 
• parents are stresset, 
• there is a coved 19 outbreak and
•  you can't see your freinds. 

Overall, I prefer no lockdown because you can be more social.
